Brand new for 2001...the BS2p modules.

The new BASIC Stamp II Plus (BS2P24-IC and BS2P40-IC) are planned for release in the first quarter of 2001. In addition to the expanded I/O of the 40-pin version, the parts have the following features:

• Commands for controlling and reading memory from Hitachi parallel LCDs
• Support for Dallas Semiconductor iButton and One-Wire parts
• Support for I2C protocols, which allow the placement of multiple ICs on a single I/O line
• 16KB EEPROM with commands for writing across the entire bank of memory from a single program location (similar to the BS2SX-IC, the BS2P utilizes 8x2K programs)
• I/O Polling capabilities allowing the status of I/O pins to be checked between execution of PBASIC commands
• Based on the SX52 from Ubicom
• Executes 12,000 PBASIC instructions per second on average
